Season 3

After the death of a book club member, Tom returns to Merweville, but the reception is cold. Hanli gets an unexpected guest while Kara and Lourens farm in their working life.

Tom is struggling with the news about his book and this leads to an outburst. Hanli treats Piet like a child and it frustrates him.

Tom tries to figure out the mystery of his mother and it takes him on some strange turns. Piet and Sofia starts a friendship that he hides from Hanli.

Tom goes on a journey through his past with Veerman Charon. Vera and Lillie form an unlikely relationship. Julia sees another side of John. Piet helps Sofia make a difficult decision.

The book club hold a concert that results in an almost fiasco. Tom and Sofia make a decision affecting the whole community. John and Julia are crazy in love, leading to problems with Sofia.

A famous writer returns to the village. Tom asks Lillie to read his novel. Piet feels he is not enough of a man for Vera and asks Anna for help.

The book club celebrates Lillie's birthday while John organizes a haunted house for the kids from the village with catastrophic consequences.

Tom and Lillie contemplate their future after the night before. Julia is adamant that John should be locked up and asks Lourens to investigate the assault.

Lillie's parents show up what makes her doubt the future. Hanli gives Lourens an impossible task.

Veerman Charon gives Lourens an impossible choice. Hanli, Tom and the book club interfere in Vera and Piet's relationship. John and Julia make plans for the future.
