Season 1
After suffering a scandal, former star Pei Jia decides to make a fresh start as an actor to remake his image. His co-star turns out to be Su Yi, a total rookie with no acting experience. In order to get on the same wavelength, the two are forced to live together and share a bed. Their relationship starts to turn ambiguous against the pressure of the entertainment industry, as Pei Jia has to fight for not just his work, but also the man he loves.
01. Episode 1
Pei Jia, a washed-up actor, joins a failing TV production, grudgingly intrigued by his rookie partner, Su Yi. Their tense first meeting is riddled with blunt critiques and unease, but a late-night twist unexpectedly draws them closer.
02. Episode 2
A misunderstanding leads to Su Yi being taken to the police station. Pei Jia, comes to the rescue, but coldly denies their relationship. The next day, the director asks his actors to perform a kissing scene, and the relationship between the two actors becomes more ambiguous.
03. Episode 3
Pei Jia considers leaving the spotlight, but a fan letter stokes the fires in his heart. Su Yi and Pei Jia are given a compatibility questionnaire to complete by the director, which results in the tension between them rising. Investor Fang Runyi makes a surprise visit to see the lead actors, writer and director, and the production becomes unstable.
04. Episode 4
On the day of filming the important kiss scene, investor Fang Runzhi intervenes and halts production, resulting in the scene being left out. Su Yi becomes disappointed by Pei Jia’s coldness, and the rift between them widens. After wrapping, Pei Jia seemed indifferent but kept tabs on Su Yi, eventually showing up at the bar he worked at.
05. Episode 5
The final dinner party turns heated when Su Bai and Director Yi break up, and Su Yi and Pei Jia reveal their feelings. During a drinking game, Su Yi reveals that he loved Pei Jia, but Pei Jia remains hesitant; the secret of the anonymous letter is finally revealed.
06. Episode 6
Su Yi tries his best for an audition but gets rejected; his brother advises him to give up on his dream. He meets Pei Jia again, and their feelings turn volatile. When Fang Runzhi openly offers Su Yi a contract, Pei Jia warns him that there may be something else going on, but Su Yi still insists on seizing the opportunity to fulfill his dream.
07. Episode 7
Su Yi agrees to sign a contract and gradually falls under Fang Run Zhi's control, which Pei Jia tries to stop. During a late-night conversation, Su Yi reveals the secret he's been hiding, a brain tumor that is pressing on his optic nerve and could make him go blind at any time. He insists on acting not to become famous, but to be remembered when the world can still see him, which causes Pei Jia to have an emotional breakdown and finally admits that he loves Su Yi.
08. Episode 8
Su Yi officially signs the contract and attends the press conference with Pei Jia. The two support each other on stage, and their private relationship quickly heats up. However, the temporary calm is soon shattered as the power struggle in the industry rages on. The banquet specially arranged by Fang Yun Zhi forces Su Yi to face the reality under the spotlight.
