Sue discovers the great state of Alaska, America's last frontier: a place of extreme weather, wildlife, wilderness and ways of life. She starts in Anchorage, on the edge of civilisation.
Sue takes the gold trail route into the Alaskan interior, goes dog mushing, and takes an intense "bug out" boat ride deep into the wilderness to find out how people survive there.
Sue heads further off track, visiting the breathtaking Kennicott Glacier, the formerly-abandoned ghost town of McCarthy and communities living in the extreme wilderness.
