Season 1
Multiple Emmy Award nominee Anthony Anderson owes his Mama Doris a lot as she gave up her own dreams of being an actress to raise him. As a token of his appreciation, he’s treating her to the trip of lifetime – a six-week excursion through England, France and Italy – to discover some of Europe’s wonders for her first time and experience a real, cultural vacation filled with history and luxury. Whether it’s walking in African fashion week, hunting for truffle or taking elaborate cooking classes, spending this amount of quality time together will be a real test for their relationship as the pair disagree on most anything and everything.
In each of the eight episodes, the series will bring chaos, frustration and heartfelt moments as Anthony and Mama Doris navigate other cultures and their mother/son relationship.
01. London, England
Anthony and Doris start their six-week European trip of a lifetime in London; Anthony takes his mom on a sightseeing tour and surprises her with a starring role on the catwalk in African Fashion Week.
02. Kent, England
Anthony and Mama Doris head to the English countryside, home to Britain's aristocrats.
03. Paris, France
Anthony and Doris arrive in Paris, France to indulge in luxury; Doris adjusts to shopping for designer clothing, gourmet cooking classes and new beauty treatments.
04. La Ferme, France
Anthony and Doris head to a French farm to work the land; Doris loves to visit her grandaddy's smallholding.
05. Cannes, France
Anthony's determined to give his mamma a taste of celebrity life in Cannes, France's answer to Hollywood; Doris must prepare for high-roller casinos, expensive sports cars and fine wine tastings.
06. Venice, Italy
Anthony and Doris hit Venice, but there's one problem, Doris is terrified of water; the duo is at a point of tug of war with the itinerary.
07. Florence, Italy
Anthony and Doris are off to Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance; to feel connected to the era, the pair take an art class complete with a fully nude model.
08. Rome, Italy
For the final stop on their tour, Anthony and Doris hit Italy's ancient capital, Rome.
