It's Christmas in beautiful Sainte Victoire, and Jean is excited to spend it with her new friends. But when the wife of police chief Andre Caron is brutally murdered, the finger points squarely at him. Caron begs Jean to clear his name, and the case takes her into the world of international art dealing, where all is not what it seems. Can Jean save Caron and bring the real murderer to justice?

Jean and Charlie are opening their new antiques shop, but the celebration is interrupted by the news that Jeremy has been taken to the police station. The body of a young woman is found on a cabin cruiser, but is he to blame?

Jeremy and Judith are at the wake for Anna Dumonet, a leading light in the Sainte Victoire theatre. Jeremy introduces Jean to Anna’s daughter, Vivienne, an antiques dealer, and her stepfather Jules, a theatre director. When Vivienne suddenly leaves in tears, Jean knows there's more to this than meets the eye, and is soon mixed up in a deadly family saga.

Jeremy and Judith have recently purchased a remote country mansion, but when they arrive to start the refurbishment, they are shocked to find the previous owner shot dead at the kitchen table, clutching a unique key in his hand. Caron calls in Jean to help determine the key's significance within a house full of antiques, but even Jean is surprised by what it unlocks.

For the first time, Jean has friends from England visiting Sainte Victoire: a fellow antiques dealer and his new husband on their honeymoon. They just want to enjoy the town's beautiful shops and sights, but they seem to have someone on their trail, intent on making it a very short trip. Could the key lie in a mysterious pack of old Tarot cards? Or is there something even more sinister at play?

A musician is found dead with a head injury and a strange symbol drawn on his face. It's up to Jean and Dom to unravel how the victim could have died alone in a locked room.
