The episode charts a day in the life of troublesome manager Pearl Hardman, miserable teenage employee Matthew Kelly, and the other employees, and the panic that ensues when they discover that Bob Carolgees may be stopping at the station. The episode was filmed on location at Bolton West Services northbound.
