Caza, having exhausted all his credit, finds himself without shoes. He enters a bric-a-brac, finds some boots dating from the 18th century and exchanges them for his jacket; but he is barely in the street when the rain begins to fall; second exchange of his trousers for an umbrella, after which he notices his outfit in a mirror and exchanges his tie pin for a coffee bag which he puts on. Thus dressed, he wanders around when he finds a well-stocked wallet which belongs to a tailor who dresses Caza who sets off again in search of lunch.
